Fuzzy Feeding Frenzy in Nara

Outfit: Aritzia by Sunday Best Mortimer Coat (Currently on sale here, but oak color sold out), HUE maroon leggings (similar here) and Corso Como OTK boots (here)

As you'll see in many upcoming posts, I've been wearing my Corso Como over the knee boots on heavy rotation during my Japan trip. It has the perfect combination of style and comfort!

After being in transit for most of the day, (we had a late start to the day due to the delay in getting our Japan Rail passes) we thought it would be better to stop by Nara first, home of the free roaming deer. We knew it was just a quaint little city and we just wanted to feed the deers, so we figured it wouldn't take the whole day. We wanted to save a full day for Kyoto since there's much more to see and do. Get ready for a ton of pictures of cuteness overload deer feeding!

The deer are pretty adorable until you stop feeding them. They got quite aggressive with the head butting and even nibbling on your pants. At one point there were so many deers surrounding me, I couldn't feed them on time and they got restless. I started to get scared, slowly walking away but they started nudging me for food! Cute but aggressive creatures when they see food.

The main street that led to the deer park. It's so clean and tranquil.
Very delicious eel rice! This kaiseki style meal fulfilled my tasteuds with delicate flavors that ere not too heavy and balanced very well. My favorite was the steamed egg (small mug in the middle) - it was super smooth and had a delicious umami flavor. The mochi was very unique unlike any other I've had! It tasted fresh and was not sticky.

  1. These photos are too cute!
And the last photo - so drool worthy!

  2. How fun that you got to feed the animals!!! I love Japan so much!

  3. Great Post! Have fun in Japan ^^
