Burgundy Floral Maxi and Napa

I wanted to do an early birthday celebration in Napa this weekend since next weekend overlaps with Halloween. Lucky for me, the weather was perfect. Forever a Thomas Keller fan, we had brunch at Bouchon and everything was delicious!
Outfit: Hinge Floppy Hat ( here), Abercrombie Maxi Dress, Bauble Bar Pearl Bracelet (similar  here) and B.P heels (I like this  color)

It was quite sunny but wasn't unbearably hot. I felt this burgundy floral dress from Abercrombie and Fitch had the perfect combination of elegance and chic with the opening in the back. I love this burgundy color, and it just happens to be trending this fall. The length compared to other maxi dresses is on the shorter side, which is perfect for petite frames. I'm 5'2" and wearing a 2 inch kitty heel, and the dress didn't sweep the ground. Usually with other maxi dresses, my 2 inch kitty heel just wouldn't cut it.
These were the best mussels ever! They were very tender and the white wine brought out the richness of this dish without making it too salty.
I'm a fries girl at heart and these truffle fries were amazing. It was crispy and I think it had real truffles instead of just truffle oil. The steak was very tender and flavorful, but I would say Alexander's Steakhouse is better. However, I've never had lamb cooked in beans, and this was one of the best lamb dishes outside of a rack of lamb. The sweetness from the beans and lamb brought a unique blend of flavors that made the lamb not gamey.
I was hoping the chicken and waffles at Bouchon would be similar to Ad Hoc (I've never been but have heard it has some of the best fried chicken), but this grilled chicken was so tender and moist that I'm actually glad it wasn't fried. The waffles were buttery and had bits of bacon, it was heaven!
Isn't this better than a birthday cake? These famous huge macarons from Bouchon will last me a while as I slowly savor each bite.
Picturesque tree-lined entrance to Sterling Vineyards. Driving down this idyllic drive way was very serene and gave me a sense of peace.
All in all it was a fantastic birthday weekend! What more can a girl ask for than good times with good friends in good weather?
