I Love New York

Over the labor day weekend I finally made my first trip to the Big Apple! I missed New York Fashion Week by two days but it was already a packed weekend, there's so much to soak in. We were so fortunate to able to get reservations at Per Se for brunch when we first arrived. It was the most exquisite dining experience I've ever had. It was hard enough to get reservations at French Laundry in Napa so I was very excited to be able to dine at Thomas Keller's other 3 michelin star restaurant.

Fancy wine and menu app on the ipad
Oysters and Pearls - This is the most amazing combination of flavors and texture. "Sabayon" of Pearl Tapioca with Island Creek Oysters and Sterling White Sturgeon Caviar
Hawaiian Hearts Salad - Sweetest corn kernels and the Sicilian Pistachios and Buttermilk Whey gave it a buttery and savory touch.
Atlantic Skate Wing - a bit salty for my taste but the fish was as smooth as butter
Nova Scotia Lobster "Tarte" - Very tender and moist, best I've ever had.
Snake River Farms' "Calotte de Boeuf" - I literally teared up when I ate this, it was the most amazing bone marrow I've ever had. Even though it was covered with au jus, I could taste the richness of the meat with the fat melting on my tongue. Simply divine.
Liberty Farm's Pekin Duck "Rillettes" - The plating is so artistic just like a majestic roman sculpture, I'm just so intrigued by the formation of the pieces.
They mixed up our reservation and thought it was my birthday but they apologized sincerely by giving us a tour of the kitchen. French Laundry and Per Se are able to see each other's kitchen from a screen, how awesome.

For brunch I wore a classy modern striped skirt from Modcloth paired with my Banana Republic sleeveless red top. My J.Crew pearl necklace is becoming my favorite and matches a lot of my outfits without overdoing it.

镜花水月 - China Through the Looking Glass exhibit at MET Museum
If anyone has ever seen Jean Paul Gaultier's exhibit, this is very much like his work but in my opinion, even better with a Chinese flair.
This Chelsea28 Lace in size 00 from Nordstrom romper was a bit loose around the upper thigh area but the belt I bought from White House Black Market gave it a clean fitted look and as always, everything goes well with my open toe heel from B.P.
